Heraus Marines

The president recently stopped the marines deployed in Basilan from attacking the MILF strongholds. I disagree with her decision. The military should attack the MILF. They should not be forgiven from what they had done to 14 marines that they ambushed in the height of search operations for the Father Bossi. They should be attacked because of their inhumane treatment to the Marines. These rebels decapitated the marines. This is an act of inhumanity, a crime to the civilization. A barbaric act that can only be avenged with blood. I know that I sound very foolish or perhaps barbaric in calling for an all-out war against the perpetrators oh this act. But I am outraged. The government must not let this criminals hide in the protective veil of peace negotiations. The MILF should turn their over to the military to show that they do not condone such acts. The MILF blames the Abu Sayyaf in the beheading of the Marines. Abu Sayyaf in their territory? Does that mean they let these terrorists to roam freely inside their realm? Or does that mean that Abu Sayyafs are members of MILF? Preposterous indeed.

On Holidays

Another foolish law was passed recently. The law is about the moving of celebration of national holidays to Monday that is nearest to the true day of celebration. This is in line with the administration’s Holiday Economic policies. The aim of this law is to give the citizen a long weekend, thus to boost local tourism. This is foolish, I mean, what will be the essence of celebrating a certain holiday if the celebration is done not on the day of celebration. I disagree with the reasons of the administration for this law; even birthdays are celebrated in the actual day of the birth date as much as possible.
